So we were discussing Nationalism the other day. It all started with our Belgian friend expressing her very, ehh, neo-European views on immigration. And ended with me claiming that everybody should start talking English.
So I decided that maybe I should start writing English more. Every now and then. On the blog and such. We'll see. Anyway.
Anyway. Yesterday we went to the beach. I tried to bleach my hair using the lemon-method. It kind of worked a little bit. But I think it was just the sun. I also burned my back. But I did put sun lotion on parts of my back, on the worst tumours.
On the evening we went to an Arabian Teteria. Mmmm! They had this wonderful tea (called Bagdag, or maybe they meant Bagdad, but it was spelled Bagdag) with yummy taste in little glasses, and these Arabic cookies that I hope Jonas will figure out how to bake.

Det låter ju bra. Jag är väldigt intresserad av att publicera saker. Ska försöka sätta mig in i sådant snart, eftersom jag ska starta ett förlag som ska förlägga såväl musik som poesi, prosa och dokumentär text.
Jag vet inte om jag tycker att civil olydnad verkar hälften så slagkraftigt som asocial livsföring, men kanske går det sammanföra till något slags power yoga!?
Jag har en kompis som nästan aldrig ler. Nu har något slags gud gett honom ansiktsförlamning till 50%. Tillfälligt tror de hedna läkarna. Jag vet inte jag.
Vad kan man säga mer? Kanske solskydd skulle vart mer på sin plats, men att torka sig före man skiter än inget för en Arne.

What is Singö? Swedish for Sing-Sing? Are you really allowed to fish for perch there? Whatever, I’m not being funny. It’s my dry arrogance that people interprets as humour.
I don’t really know if the egg preceded the hen or vice versa. I know that the first will last longer time in a refrigerator before going bad, wicked and evil. And I’m pretty sure the RNA world preceded them both.
Should we all speak english? Besides from a couple of generations that never again will feel able to make themselves totally clear, I think it’s not that bad an idea. I would manage. The world of science already today speak english, at least international. Quite a lot of the average day at the lab I communicate in english. So, if we’re looking for a world that everyone understands the meaning of each other’s sayings and so on, sure. Let’s roll!
On the other hand, I care a great deal for poetry. And there is a poetry in the very existence of every language. A language is a fairly dynamic and democratic way of altering the way we illustrate how we experience our lives and the places we live them at.
Certain sounds of certain words reflect what we think of the phenomenon they label. Syllables can be grunts, sighs or sheer joy. Our laguages are soundtrack of our lives.
I think this means I’d be willing to die for the right to use the scales that sound closer to home and bone. Of course this is all hypothetical so please don’t test me on this. I’m sure I’d probably rather murmur “go to hell” behind your back that have “dra dit pepparn växer” imprinted on my headstone.
Epilog: If you want to be so god damn international and non-nationalistic, why would English be the first choice. I’m quite sure it would be just as easy, if not more, to spread the words of Chinese or Spanish for instance.

Jag tycker patriotism/nationalism i rimliga doser är bra, dock ej i sportsammanhang. Internationalism och patriotism säger ju inte emot varandra, som Mao så fint uttryckte det. Däremot leder svenskars ickepatriotism oftast till att de tror att andra länder är mycket, mycket bättre – och så är de plötsligt frankofiler, amerikaälskare, sinofiler, tyskvänner eller något annat.
Fast jag håller med Jon om att kinesiska skulle kunna bli ett bra världsspråk :)...

Den svenska antipatriotismen är bara en annan form av vanlig nationalism. Tänkandet är exakt detsamma (olika länder är olika bra), man väljer bara ett annat favoritland. Varför detta skulle vara bättre eller sämre än att tycka att ens eget land är bäst kan jag inte förstå.

Whatever.Eller word up brotherly brothers Åkerlund. Jag står på Bromma Airport right this minute. Och kom liksom inte på något annat att göra. Man måste väl iofs inte välja ett annat land som favvoland bara för att vara anti-patriot. Jag gillar väl Sverige bäst utan att tycka att särskilt många av våra natonella värden är värda ett ruttet lingon.

Egentligen så är jag för en uppfattning att man ska försöka ha en uppskattande syn på alla fenomen (buddhism). Det gäller även länder, kulturer, världsdelar etc. På många sätt gillar jag också t.ex Kina bättre än Sverige (mat, mer utåtriktade människor, pragmatism).
Men det här projektet försvåras dock av ett problem jag kommit på att jag har: jag blir ibland negativt kär i personer – dvs. jag verkligen börjar hata vissa människor och gör det på ett fixerat sätt. Någon som har några förslag på vad man kan göra åt det?
